2. Information We Collect

We collect account information (such as email and name), inventory and transaction data you enter, and limited technical data needed to operate and secure the service.

For contact form submissions, we also process anti-bot verification data (including hCaptcha challenge responses and related technical signals) to prevent spam and abuse.

3. How We Use Data and Lawful Bases

We use your data to provide core functionality, authenticate your account, process subscriptions, improve product performance, and provide support.

We may send transactional and automation emails (such as weekly digest reports) to your registered email address based on your alert preferences. You can manage these in Settings.

• Contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)): to create and maintain your account, provide inventory and analytics features, and deliver paid subscription functionality.
• Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): to secure the service, prevent abuse (including bot/spam submissions), and improve reliability and support.
• Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): to meet tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance duties.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage and essential cookies solely for authentication sessions, theme preferences, and functional settings. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics.

5. Payments and Tax

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card details. Stripe may process billing information, tax data, and related records according to Stripe's own privacy terms.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with service providers required to operate the product (for example, hosting, authentication, database, and payment processors).

7. Sub-Processors

We use the following third-party services to operate ResellTrackr:

• Supabase — Authentication and database
• Stripe — Payment processing
• Resend — Transactional email delivery
• Netlify — Hosting and deployment
• hCaptcha — Contact form bot protection

8. International Data Transfers

Some of our sub-processors may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions to protect your data.

9. Data Retention

We retain data while your account is active, and as needed for legal, accounting, and security obligations.

• Account profile and inventory data: retained while your account is active.
• Billing and tax records: retained for up to 6 years where required by law.
• Security and audit logs: retained for up to 12 months unless a longer period is required for security investigations or legal obligations.

10. Account Deletion

You may request full deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

To protect your account, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing deletion requests.

11. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your data, including access controls and infrastructure-level protections.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or request a copy of your personal data. Contact us to request these actions.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

13. Children

ResellTrackr is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice in the product or by email where appropriate.
